Research
I got the research for my story from my school. Many of the problems in the story that Drew has to face are similar to what I have to deal with on a daily basis. For example the school in BankFord Prep is very dirty just like mine. Then are some bullies in this school just like in the book. So in a sense I`m kind of like Drew, only Idon`t have brothers or sisters.

Sample Chapter
Monday, September 8th This is my first entry ever !!! I`m not really glad about going back to school, but I am happy about finally starting this journal. I only started this thing because i`m not good at remembering things and I figure if I record everything in this journal I`ll have some decent school stories to tell my kids(assuming i`ll have kids)in the future. Let me be perfectly clear, this is a JOURNAL OK!!!!. First off, the school is SUPER dirty, it`s like the principle didn`t even hire a janitor. There`s basically trash everywhere. Then there`s the noise in this place. You can think think of it this way: A combination of an airport,Stock marketers in Wall Street, and a cranky group of preschoolers. An last but not least there is the weird names of the teachers, for example Mrs. Jamoroquaii.

Novel Pitch
This novel is called One in a million. It`s about a boy named Drew Carey and he is in middle school. He really doesn`t like it there and he only has a few friends. He thinks that school is the dumbest idea ever and wants to punch the person who created it. All of the teachers at BankFord Prep are weird and have strange teaching methods. Meanwhile, there are mean high schoolers who have to to put on loads of deodorant. So basically it`s a JOURNAL about school.

Who can I interveiw and where can I find information?
I could probably interview Dr. Hodge. I could probably get some useful information from him. A place I could probably gather information from is a local newspaper. Or I could get information from the Internet. There are many resources where one can find information about something. And also there are many people to interview to find out about current events. For example you can interview a local lunch lady about healthy lunches.
